Filip Marona has been restoring antiques for clients around the Chicago and North Shore communities for over twenty-five years. He began his apprenticeship in 1994 at lle de France Antiques, a company importing and specializing in French furniture. There he learned the "old world technics" and developed his love and passion for art and antiques. Filip purchased the business in 2001 and continued restoring and selling French antiques while gradually expanding his restoration services and inventory to include American, English, and Asian furniture. Diversifying his inventory by adding pieces from different parts of the globe and eras led to the birth of his new company, Marona Studio, where beyond an expansive inventory, services such as restoration, repairs, and refinishing take place.
