I’ve Become a Hoarder
The name may be tongue-in-cheek, but the passion for collecting is quite serious.
For nearly 30 years, I’ve been buying, collecting, and selling antiques, decorative arts, fine art, furniture, and unusual objects. What began as an appreciation for beautiful things gradually became a lifelong pursuit—and, admittedly, a house filled with far more treasures than anyone could reasonably keep.
My collection is wonderfully eclectic. I’m drawn to pieces with history, craftsmanship, character, and visual interest—from period furniture and paintings to porcelain, glass, architectural pieces, decorative objects, and the occasional wonderful oddity that simply refuses to be left behind.
Rather than specializing in one particular period or style, I buy what catches my eye. The common thread is that each piece has something special about it—whether beautiful, unusual, beautifully made, historically interesting, or simply charming.
Many of the pieces offered here have lived with me as part of my own collection. Others are discoveries made along the way and chosen because I thought they deserved another home.
I believe antiques and vintage pieces should be lived with and enjoyed, not simply admired from a distance. Age and history often bring their own character, and I make every effort to describe condition accurately and disclose anything I would want to know as a buyer.
After nearly three decades of collecting, I’m finally admitting that I can’t keep everything.
Of course, that hasn’t stopped me from looking.
