A striking set of seven Villeroy & Boch Origo salad plates, made in West Germany by Heinrich during the pattern’s remarkably short 1986–1987 production run.
Origo is pure 1980s geometry: creamy bone china traced with slender gold bands that sharpen into architectural points at the top and bottom, each punctuated by a small mauve-pink diamond. The effect has a wonderful Art Deco Revival quality while still feeling clean enough for a contemporary table.
The plates are marked Heinrich, W. Germany, Villeroy & Boch, Origo and Bone China.
A particularly good pattern for mixing rather than matching — pair these with simple cream or white dinnerware and let the graphic borders do the work. Each plate measures approximately 8.625” across and 1” tall.
In very good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use, including some rubbing/wear to the decoration. Please see photographs.
