Wonderful Japanese incense burner in the form of a straw hut with a modeled bird.
The Bizen area is located in the Okayama Prefecture with origins dating to the 12th century. Bizen is one of the Six Ancient Kilns and is known for it's unglazed pieces, with the present glaze naturally occurring in the kiln. Potters signature to the bottom of the burner.
