Made in Belgium in the 20th Century, the mastery required to make this artisan glasswork is visible in the elongated symmetry of the form and the skillful color gradient, which ranges from a perfect transparent to a jewel-like, iridescent emerald. The shallow dip in the center allows this piece to be used as a platter for trinkets, jewelry or a particularly attractive piece of fruit —or simply admired as an art object in its own right.
