The piece is … Read more Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso yellow with gold aventurine Italian art glass fish sculpture. The piece is cased in clear glass, and you can see the layer of yellow over the gold. You can also see a shade of green over the fish, likely from the clear glass or the inner aventurine. The fish has applied eyes made of white and blue canes. The body is very thin, with applied fins on top, the bottom and tail. Would make a great display piece on any dresser, console table, or curio cabinet. Use it as a catchall, or candy dish. Mid-century era. Measures 8 1/2" tall x 8 1/2" long x 2 1/4" wide.
