Standing at the edge of a hallway bathed in light accompanied by several figures, the figure of the picador on horseback is cast in shadow as he stands facing away from the sun. As an example of Pablo Picasso's work depicting themes related to traditional Spanish bullfighting, this work highlights the strength and pride of men who hold the title of picador as toreros.
