This finish is also known as arte povera, lacca contrafatta, decalcomania, and perhaps more commonly, as decoupage. This is the artistic technique of adorning a furniture surface with paper prints and lacquered layers which was perfected and made popular during the 17th and 18th century. This table has a rectangular-shaped top, a small drawer housed in the apron, and is raised on squared legs which taper gently towards their feet. The leg clearance from underside of skirt to floor is approximately 26.25 inches. This 18th century Italian lacca povera table is decorated on all sides, making it a great option to be floated as an accent table or perhaps a small writing desk. See less
