The low, compact form features a paneled front with a gently shaped decorative motif and simple iron latch, framed by sturdy corner posts and short rounded feet. Generations of use have given the elm a rich, warm surface with visible grain, worn edges, subtle color variations, and the beautifully aged patina characteristic of old Chinese country furniture.

Its small scale and low profile make this a wonderfully versatile accent piece. Use it as a low bedside table, small side table, display stand, or decorative storage piece topped with pottery, books, or a collected object. The combination of rustic elm, simple detailing, and time-worn character works beautifully in Santa Fe, farmhouse, mountain modern, boho chic, or contemporary interiors.
