Standing an impressive 280 cm high, the sculpture depicts a majestic stag poised upon a rocky outcrop, its enormous branching antlers creating a commanding silhouette and exceptional visual presence. The sculpture is produced in heavy cast aluminium and finished by hand in Great Britain with a rich bronze-effect surface, combining the appearance and character of traditional bronze sculpture with the practical advantage of aluminium construction. The material is particularly well suited to exterior display and will not rust. The composition recalls the grandeur of Sir Edwin Landseer’s celebrated The Monarch of the Glen, painted around 1851 and now held by the National Galleries of Scotland. Comparable monumental bronzed aluminium stag sculptures are marketed specifically as substantial architectural garden features, demonstrating the impressive scale of this type of work. A magnificent decorative sculpture ideally suited to substantial gardens, landscaped grounds, country houses, hotels, restaurants, commercial interiors or dramatic entrance settings.
