An elegant and beautifully crafted French Louis XVI-style walnut sideboard by Richelieu, the distinguished French furniture manufacturer also known as Art et Meubles de France. This handsome buffet exemplifies the company's dedication to traditional French cabinetmaking, combining classical architectural detailing, beautifully figured wood, and exceptional craftsmanship.

The sideboard features a substantial rectangular top with gently rounded corners, displaying a rich palette of warm honey, amber, and chestnut-brown tones. The natural wood grain and subtly aged finish create a wonderful sense of depth and character.

The symmetrical façade incorporates two generously proportioned paneled cabinet doors, each framed by finely detailed moldings and delicate beaded borders. Above the doors are two practical drawers fitted with elegant brass handles featuring classical scrolling ornamentation. Decorative brass escutcheons further enhance the traditional French appearance.

Particularly striking is the central architectural pilaster, decorated with five elongated vertical flutes highlighted with contrasting pale ivory accents. This distinctive neoclassical feature emphasizes the balanced proportions and sophisticated craftsmanship of the piece.

The cabinet rests on short, tapering feet, completing its restrained yet elegant silhouette.
