This is a very large chair with chinoiserie flair. The wrapped rattan is constructed in an hour glass design and the bottom features Chinese Chippendale fretwork. The finish is a dark brown which is a nice contrast to the blue and white cushion and pillow.
Dating approximately to the 1970s–1980s, this generously proportioned chair combines British Colonial styling with relaxed Palm Beach appeal. The seat cushion and coordinating back pillow feature updated blue and white Ikat fabric, complementing the curved lattice design. The lumbar cushion is down filled. The boxed seat cushion is very firm and the box cushion cover has a zippered closure.
Please note the measurements of this chair.
There is no makers mark, however we are reminded of the Ficks-Reed style of this era.
A distinctive accent for a living room, sunroom, or reading corner, with an airy framework that balances its impressive size.
