The whimsical scene of beautiful dancing geishas in this faux bamboo wooden frame (framed under glass) lithograph reproduction, is taken from the original artwork Edna Sibel created in 1980 using soft pastels and charcoal, which play so well together. The artwork has been professionally framed under glass in a faux bamboo wooden frame with a gilt-like finish. A wire hanger on the back allows for immediate placement on a wall. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear. This beauty weighs approximately 20 lbs. and measures as follows:

Overall: 50” x 21” x 1” W/H/D
Interior: 47½” x 18½” W/H

Edna Hibel was an American painter best known for her Impressionistic landscapes and Mother and Children series, inspired by the work of both Mary Cassatt and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Born in 1917 in Boston, MA, Hibel went on to study painting at the Boston Museum School of Fine Art, graduating in 1939. She had a fulfilling career promoting peace through her exhibitions and artwork all around the world. She passed away in her home at the age of 97 in December 2014, right before her 98th birthday.
