An elegant collection of five beautifully detailed seashell engravings by Edward Donovan (1768–1837), one of Britain's most celebrated natural history illustrators. Renowned for his exquisitely detailed and delicately colored engravings, Donovan helped establish the artistic beauty of scientific illustration during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
Each shell is individually showcased within a custom-cut beveled opening, creating a striking balance of texture, color, and dimension. Expertly custom-framed in a wide, softly distressed silver-white wood frame that complements the natural coastal palette, with high quality museum glass to protect against fading and help preserve the artwork.
Excellent condition, newly framed. Ready to hang.
