When closed, the table presents as a graceful demi-lune occasional table with beautifully balanced proportions, making it an attractive decorative piece even when not being used for games. The top opens out to reveal a generous green felt playing surface, transforming the table into a practical games or card table. When fully opened, the depth extends from 41.5 cm to approximately 82.5 cm, providing an excellent playing area while allowing the table to remain relatively compact when closed. Particularly impressive are the beautifully carved cabriole legs, enriched with decorative carving to the knees and terminating in striking claw-and-ball feet. A carved frieze beneath the top provides further decorative interest and gives the table a particularly sophisticated period appearance.
