The vase displays the elegant high-shouldered form traditionally associated with the classical Chinese Meiping, originally developed as a vessel for wine before becoming one of the most admired forms in Chinese decorative ceramics. Finely hand-painted in rich cobalt blue against a crisp porcelain ground, the decoration draws inspiration from celebrated Kangxi-period blue and white porcelain. The combination of the graceful silhouette and detailed decoration creates a sophisticated piece with considerable visual presence. Standing approximately 35 cm high, the vase is generously scaled without being imposing, making it ideal for display on a console, sideboard, mantelpiece or within a collection of Chinese and Asian decorative arts. The vase is presented in good condition, with no hairlines or cracks and only general surface wear associated with its handmade nature. An elegant decorative piece combining the timeless form of the Chinese Meiping with the enduring appeal of traditional Kangxi-style blue and white decoration.
