Impressive in both scale and appearance, the cabinets display the luxurious character associated with traditional Italian furniture design. Their beautifully figured burr walnut veneers feature rich swirling grain and warm tonal variation, enhanced by sculptural curved sides, serpentine-shaped tops and substantial moulded plinth bases. Each cabinet incorporates three generously proportioned drawers, providing excellent bedside storage. Particularly distinctive are the upper drawers, which feature decorative mirrored geometric panels, introducing an elegant contrast against the richly figured walnut. Brass-coloured ring handles and decorative metal fittings complete the sophisticated neoclassical-inspired appearance. Both pieces retain their original manufacturer's labels to the rear, marked: “Made in Italy Mob. Fulgini Orilio & F.lli S.p.A. Pesaro”

At 65 cm wide, these are considerably larger and more substantial than conventional bedside tables, giving them excellent presence alongside a large bed. Their proportions also make them suitable as matching side chests, lamp tables or occasional cabinets within a living room or sophisticated bedroom interior. Both cabinets remain solid, clean and fully functional, with all drawers operating correctly. They are presented in very good vintage condition overall, with a small number of cosmetic marks, minor finish chips and areas of wear consistent with previous use.
