The chest is arranged with four drawers, comprising two smaller drawers positioned above two generously proportioned full-width drawers. This balanced configuration provides practical storage while giving the façade an attractive and symmetrical appearance. Each drawer retains its original knob handles, complementing the restrained character of the piece and preserving its authentic vintage appearance. The oak displays particularly attractive natural grain throughout, with warm golden and honey tones highlighting the character and quality of the timber. Raised upon a substantial plinth base, the chest has a solid, grounded silhouette while its relatively low proportions make it particularly versatile within a variety of interiors. Presented in very good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age and use consistent with its 20th-century origin. A practical and attractive example of Dutch furniture, ideally suited to a bedroom, hallway, dressing room or living space and equally appropriate within traditional, country or contemporary interiors.
