Each spoon features a distinctive golfing theme, with the terminal finely engraved with a pair of crossed golf clubs. The terminals are additionally inscribed “b g c,” possibly representing the initials of a golf club for which the set may originally have been commissioned or presented. The sporting decoration gives the set considerable character and makes it particularly appealing to collectors of antique and vintage golfing memorabilia, novelty silver and early 20th-century british tableware.
