The upper section incorporates two generously proportioned open shelves, providing excellent display space for ceramics, glassware, books or decorative objects. These are flanked by two small cupboards, introducing useful concealed storage while creating an attractive and symmetrical composition. The substantial lower section features two central drawers, providing convenient storage for smaller items, with a cupboard positioned to either side offering further generous concealed storage. Decorative detailing throughout reflects the influence of 17th-century Jacobean furniture, giving the dresser a strong period character while retaining the practicality expected of a substantial domestic storage piece. The dresser is raised upon finely turned legs united by a supporting stretcher, providing strength and stability while creating a traditional and beautifully balanced silhouette. Particularly appealing is the oak itself, displaying pronounced natural grain and attractive figuring throughout. Rich, warm colour and an appealing aged patina enhance the character and visual depth of the timber. Very well constructed and presented in good antique condition, with appropriate signs of age and use consistent with its early 20th-century origin. For easier transportation and installation, the dresser separates into two principal sections. Standing 191.5 cm high and 155 cm wide, this is an imposing and highly functional statement piece, combining extensive display space with substantial concealed storage. Ideally suited to a dining room, kitchen, drawing room or distinguished country-house interior. Dimensions: Height: 191.5 cm Width: 155 cm Depth: 55 cm Worktop Height: 90 cm See less
