The chest is arranged with three useful drawers to the front, providing practical storage for clothing, linens and other household items. Each drawer retains its original wooden knob handles, preserving the simple and understated character of the piece. An attractive raised gallery crowns the chest, adding visual interest to the design while providing a defined edge around the upper section.

The main worktop sits at a practical height of 70 cm, with the gallery bringing the overall height to 72.5 cm. Throughout, the oak displays particularly attractive natural grain, warm colouring and established character. The restrained design allows the beauty and texture of the timber to remain the principal decorative feature. Its compact proportions make the chest exceptionally versatile, providing useful drawer storage without occupying excessive floor space. It would work particularly well within a bedroom, hallway, dressing room or living space. Presented in good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age and historic use consistent with its 20th-century origin. A highly versatile piece combining richly grained oak, three practical drawers with original wooden handles and a raised gallery within a simple and timeless design.
