The cupboard features a single panelled door to the front, opening to reveal an internal shelf providing useful concealed storage. Its compact proportions make it particularly versatile for use as a bedside cabinet, nightstand, occasional cupboard or small side cabinet. Raised on a substantial plinth base, the cupboard has a pleasing sense of solidity and balance despite its relatively compact size. The simple architectural form allows the natural beauty of the timber to remain the principal decorative feature. The oak displays a particularly attractive warm golden colour with pronounced natural grain and tonal variation throughout. The piece retains its original handle and fittings, adding to its authentic character. Well proportioned, robustly constructed and highly practical, this is an appealing example of traditional English oak furniture that could sit comfortably within both period and contemporary interiors. Presented in good condition and ready for use.
