The suite displays exceptional decorative detail throughout, with carved and inlaid floral, foliate and geometric motifs covering the backs, arms, seat rails and turned supports. The pierced backrests incorporate a series of architectural panels with stylised tree and botanical motifs, framed by finely worked borders and surmounted by an elegant scalloped crest. The two-seat settee is accompanied by two matching armchairs, creating a visually impressive and cohesive salon suite. Each piece is fitted with a neutral upholstered seat cushion, providing a restrained contrast to the richly ornamented rosewood framework. An impressive example of traditional Indian decorative furniture, combining elaborate craftsmanship with functional seating and substantial visual presence.
