This striking antique Persian Hamadan rug is a century-old treasure from one of the Middle East's most prolific and historic weaving centers. Known for their durability and bold, individualistic designs, Hamadan rugs are highly versatile and fit perfectly into both modern and traditional interiors.
The rug features a prominent, elongated hexagon medallion in ivory and deep red, anchored against a rich, dark navy field. The "stepping" geometric patterns within the medallion are typical of village craftsmanship from the early 20th century. The borders are beautifully detailed with a repeating floral and vine motif that provides a crisp, balanced frame to the darker central field.
