The vase features a flared rim with a stout rolled edge and decorative petal motif. The body is ornamented with stylised wisteria set against a geometric diamond-patterned ground, creating a richly textured surface characteristic of Japanese decorative metalwork. The vessel is raised upon a tapered cylindrical base finished with a decorative band around its circumference. The combination of botanical ornament, geometric detailing and naturally aged bronze gives the piece considerable decorative character. Presented in very good antique condition, with natural patination and surface weathering consistent with its age.
