The glaze gathers more heavily around the raised decoration, accentuating the sculptural quality of the form. ㅤ The exterior displays a fine honey-brown crackle pattern that transitions into broader, darker lines through the cooler blue-grey glaze surrounding the mouth and continuing into the interior. ㅤ Rather than relying on painted ornament, the decorative character of the piece is created through variations in the thickness, colour and crackle of the glaze, producing subtle tonal contrasts across the surface. ㅤ Period: 20th Century ㅤ Origin: China ㅤ Condition: Good condition with firing marks and a short side fissure.
