Crafted principally from brass, the lock features an elaborate heavily embossed surface with intricate traditional decoration. Jade elements provide a striking contrast against the warm tone and aged patina of the brass. Despite its considerable age, the lock remains in good working order, making it an appealing example for collectors of Chinese decorative arts and historic metalwork.
