The charger presents a substantial decorative format, measuring approximately 37 cm in diameter, with the broad surface providing an impressive canvas for its period decoration. Masons Ironstone became particularly recognised for richly decorated ceramic wares, and this example combines the substantial character of ironstone with the ornamental approach associated with late Victorian decorative arts. Stamped and preserved in very good condition, the charger is particularly suited to wall display, a decorative plate collection or as a focal object within an eclectic interior. Maker: Masons Ironstone Date of Manufacture: circa 1895 Diameter: 37 cm Origin: United Kingdom See less
