The cabinet is distinguished by intricate inlaid decoration incorporating flowers, foliage, garlands and figural motifs. Elaborate brass mounts provide further decorative detail and contrast beautifully with the warm tones and figuring of the walnut. A single glazed door retains its original glass and opens to reveal fixed internal shelves lined with original baize. The cabinet also retains its original back and is accompanied by a key. The walnut has been repolished at some point in its history, while the decorative brasswork has been cleaned. Presented in good antique condition and structurally sturdy, with minor signs of age and historic use.
