The upper section is fitted with two panelled doors opening to reveal a practical hanging interior with wooden pegs. Decorative inlaid detailing adds further character to the restrained country design. The lower section is arranged with two drawers over one larger drawer, together with two dummy drawer fronts. The brass handles are old replacements rather than the originals. The cupboard retains its original fielded-panel oak back and stands on traditional bracket feet. Constructed in two sections, it separates for easier transportation and installation. A substantial and highly characterful example of Georgian country furniture, combining generous storage with the warmth and surface character developed by oak over more than two centuries.
