The elongated body of the greyhound is particularly suited to the streamlined aesthetic of the Art Deco period, creating a composition that emphasises movement, speed and elegant geometric proportion. The contrasting materials are an important part of the design, with the bright silver-plated bronze figure standing prominently against the darker tones and natural figuring of the wooden base. The sculpture measures 31 cm in length and remains in very good condition, with the patination and silver-plated finish particularly well preserved. Period: Art Deco Length: 31 cm See less
