Constructed from beech-faced plywood, the clinker-built boat form incorporates four fixed shelves. Gold-leaf lettering reading “King’s Eight” appears on the piece together with the names of the rowing team inside one of the shelves. The combination of authentic nautical form and practical storage gives the piece considerable decorative impact and makes it particularly suitable for a library, hallway, coastal interior or commercial display.
