The mirror is arranged with three individual mirror plates set within a substantial oak surround. Intricate carved detailing enriches the frame, culminating in a decorative crest positioned prominently above the central section. The warm character of the oak, combined with the carved ornament and tripartite arrangement, gives the mirror considerable decorative presence. Its generous proportions make it particularly suitable for positioning above a fireplace, sideboard or console table. A handsome example of interwar decorative furniture, combining practical function with the traditional craftsmanship and historicist influences popular in British interiors during the period. Presented in very good vintage condition overall, with only minimal wear to the extremities consistent with age and use.
