The imposing glacier and rugged peaks dominate the composition, while the vast open sky creates a powerful sense of space and solitude.

The painting is characterised by a restrained and sophisticated palette of deep blues, muted greens, earthy greys and warm ochre tones. Carefully calibrated contrasts of light and shadow define the rocky formations and expansive glacier, giving the landscape depth while preserving its contemplative character.
De Robertis approaches nature with a measured and expressive pictorial language, avoiding excessive detail in favour of atmosphere and suggestion. The result is a landscape that conveys both the physical grandeur of the mountains and the profound silence of an untouched natural environment.
Executed in oil on canvas, the painting measures 60 × 120 cm, while the overall framed dimensions are 79 × 139 cm.

Presented in an elegant vintage frame, Ghiacciaio is particularly suited to classical, modern or contemporary interiors where its generous horizontal format can become a strong focal point.
