Siirt blankets are flatwoven, then brushed by hand on one face to raise the long, silky mohair. The result is a soft, shaggy front and a flat, tightly woven reverse, so it works as a throw, a bed cover, or a light-traffic rug.

The design is restrained and graphic. A single ivory medallion with comb-like edges floats in an open charcoal field, framed at each end by chestnut and black bands with fine ivory pinstripes. The ends are finished with knotted ivory warp fringe.

The minimal palette and natural fibers suit modern, organic, Scandinavian, and wabi-sabi interiors. It’s a good accent drape over a sofa, at the foot of a bed, or across a bench.
