This is an authentic vintage pair of Model 72 Executive Side Chairs designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll Associates, originally introduced in 1950.
This particular pair features their gorgeous, original vibrant red vinyl upholstery set on classic black tubular steel legs with their original articulating metal floor glides. One chair proudly retains its original 1950s "Knoll Associates 575 Madison Ave" manufacturer's paper label on the underside, certifying these as early-production mid-century classics.
Both chairs have been deep-cleaned and treated with a premium vinyl UV protectant to preserve their color and material integrity.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with honest, age-appropriate wear. The structural integrity is excellent, and the metal legs show vintage patina-age related wear. The vinyl remains pliable; however, there is a minor burn mark on one seat cushion and some typical scuffs, minor cuts, and age-related wear on the backs of both chairs (as pictured). Please review the photos closely to appreciate their genuine mid-century character.
