The architectural silver leaf frame is designed with fluted and ringed columns supporting a projecting cornice, reflecting the symmetry and restrained grandeur characteristic of the neoclassical style.

The frame's original silvered finish has developed a beautiful aged patina over time, enhancing the mirror's historic character and decorative appeal. The refined columnar details and entablature-like cornice evoke the forms of classical architecture, giving the piece a strong vertical presence despite its slender footprint.

Its narrow format makes it particularly suitable for hallways, between windows, entrance spaces, or as an accent in layered interiors where a full-height mirror is desired without overwhelming the room. The combination of weathered silver leaf and original glass lends the mirror a timeless elegance that works equally well in classical, Gustavian, French country, and contemporary interiors.

The original mirror plate displays age-related spotting and oxidation, contributing to the authentic appearance expected of a mid-19th-century piece.

Good antique condition with normal signs of age and use. The silver leaf frame shows wear and patina consistent with age. The original mirror glass exhibits age-related spotting, foxing, and areas of oxidation. See less
