Carved from a single block of wood, it shows a sitting cat with an alert expression, smooth contours, and proportions that give the figure a lifelike presence. Natural grain remains visible through the rich surface patina, adding depth to the carved form. At nearly 17 inches tall, the sculpture has enough scale to stand on its own on a console, bookcase, or mantel. Its traditional subject and handcrafted appearance make it a versatile accent among collected objects and vintage furnishings.

The cat measures 10.75 inches wide, 3.75 inches deep, and 16.75 inches high. It is in very good vintage condition, with its original warm wood finish intact. Minor surface scuffs and light wear are visible, consistent with age, but the sculpture remains well preserved and structurally sound. The carved details and natural wood grain continue to read clearly, and the narrow depth makes it easy to display against a wall or among other objects. Its upright silhouette offers an expressive touch without requiring a large footprint. See less
