Each pedestal is shaped as a stylized scallop shell with gently curved, radiating ridges, rising from a sturdy base finished with subtle decorative scrollwork. The design draws on the Neoclassical vocabulary of shells, scrolls and balanced symmetry, and the matching pair amplifies that sense of order and proportion. Cast cement gives the pieces a substantial, architectural weight along with a smooth, softly textured surface that complements both natural stone and painted finishes. Used together, they can flank a doorway or fireplace, frame an entry, or line a garden path or terrace. They can also stand alone to display urns, potted palms or sculpture, bringing height and a coastal, Palm Beach-inspired note to a living room, loggia or sunroom. Their versatile scale suits both indoor rooms and outdoor spaces. The repeated shell silhouette also makes the pair a natural fit for waterfront homes, where it echoes the forms found along the shoreline.

Each pedestal measures 25 inches wide, 9.75 inches deep and 28.5 inches high. The pair is in very good vintage condition. The cement surfaces are clean and well preserved, showing only minimal signs of age, and the edges and carved details remain crisp, with no visible chips or cracks. Both pieces are structurally sound and present with a strong visual impact. Their substantial weight keeps them steady on display. A striking matched set for designers and collectors drawn to classical forms with a relaxed, coastal appeal. See less
