This is a beautifully woven 14k gold bracelet with diamond X details, in a style made popular by Schlumberger and Tiffany & Co. In a labor intensive process, the bracelet was created by weaving gold around a tube in a tight, intricate fashion. The tube was then pulled out of the shell and replaced with a white gold cuff, so that the bracelet appears woven but has an internal sturdiness to its structure, while also remaining flexible enough to open to fit your wrist. This is a challenging technique that requires a master level of craftsmanship and skill. The bracelet has the classic three X design; each 14k white gold X is very detailed and carved out to house rows of diamonds. The bracelet is capped with white gold finials that make a nice ending to the piece. We love the contrast of the woven yellow gold beside white gold details.
The bracelet contains approximately 0.6 carats of diamonds. The center diamond of each X measures 2.5 mm (three total 2.5 mm diamonds; the rest of the diamonds measure 1.5 mm (36 total 1.5 mm diamonds). The diamonds are G-H in color and VS2 -SL2 in clarity.
The bracelet fits a small to medium wrist, about 6-6 3/4”, and is 1/4” wide. It weighs 29.9 grams. Marked as 14k gold and MIRI.
Circa the 1970’s or 1980’s. A classical, sophisticated piece with incredible workmanship.
