An exceptional mid-century Italian art glass centerpiece chalice vase, showcasing master-level hand-blown craftsmanship. This unmarked piece features a striking bulbous amber/honey-toned glass bowl fused to a remarkably heavy, solid clear glass pedestal stem. Inside the thick stem is an encased, fluidly twisted internal multi-color filigree spiral (zanfirico technique).
The substantial weight and meticulously flat-ground, polished base confirm its premium Murano pedigree. A gorgeous statement sculpture perfect for a modernist mantel, console, or dining table centerpiece.
The piece exhibits a slight, charismatic lean to one side—a common and desirable artifact of the mid-century hand-blown process, proving its unique studio origin without affecting its stability.
Heavy- 6 pounds, 3.2 ounces.
