This original work depicts an abundant arrangement of flowers in shades of pink, coral, lavender, yellow, and green, with beautifully detailed butterflies fluttering among the blooms.
Deliss captures the flowers with remarkable attention to detail, from the ruffled and curling petals to the subtle variations in color and the delicate markings of the butterflies. The arrangement includes richly colored parrot tulips, with their distinctive fringed and twisting petals. Delicate clusters of blue berries and trailing foliage provide contrast. The combination of precise botanical detail and loose, expressive brushwork gives the painting a sense of spontaneity and joy.
The watercolor is presented in a particularly handsome silver-gilt wood frame with contrasting dark-stained wood sides and exposed spline joinery at the corners.
