This export porcelain rectangular box and cover features a gently domed lid centered with a fluted, gilt-accented bud finial. The exterior is intricately hand-painted in vibrant enamel polychrome, displaying a central European-style armorial crest flanked by lush peonies, blossoming branches, and delicate songbirds. The rich cobalt blue and gold scrollwork of the crest creates a striking contrast against the pale ground, while the flat rim and borders are accented with delicate gilt detailing.
