Crafted in France circa 1900, the large hand-painted dish is centered by a tall yellow urn overflowing with stylized flowers and foliage in shades of cobalt blue, ochre, rust, yellow, and green.

Small painted insects and butterflies surround the floral arrangement, adding charming movement to the composition. The shaped rim is decorated with a continuous scrolling foliate border against a deep blue ground and finished with a yellow edge, creating a strong contrast with the white glazed body. The reverse bears hand-painted marks, including the number “958” and an artist or workshop monogram.

With its generous scale and vibrant palette, this antique faience platter would make a striking decorative accent displayed on a wall, plate rack, buffet, or kitchen shelf. The piece is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with minor surface wear and imperfections consistent with hand-painted antique faience.
