Created in France during the Louis XVI Revival period, the clock is both a functional timepiece and a highly decorative example of 19th-century bronze work.
The composition is centered around three finely modelled putti surrounded by grapevines and clusters of fruit. The elevated central figure raises a chalice above the clock, while two additional putti below participate in the harvest scene. Their expressive poses, detailed faces and carefully rendered drapery bring movement and character to the design.
Above the enamel dial, two sculptural birds are shown among the grape clusters, adding another animated element to the composition. Flowing grapevine garlands continue throughout the case, connecting the different sculptural elements and reinforcing the harvest theme.
The substantial gilt-bronze base is supported by elegant lion's-paw feet, providing a strong neoclassical foundation. The original-style ormolu finish retains a warm antique-gold tone with naturally developed patina that highlights the depth of the bronze casting.

The clock is fitted with a traditional 8-day spring-driven mechanical movement.
It strikes on the hour and half hour using its bell and has been professionally cleaned, checked and oiled by a clock specialist.
The white enamel dial features Roman numerals and ornate bronze hands.
