Marked Sparklets Ltd. London and Made in England, this pair was produced by one of Britain's most recognized manufacturers of soda siphons and carbonation equipment. Their construction and surviving original components exemplify the quality and enduring appeal of classic English barware. An exceptional pair having retained their original woven metal mesh coverings, nickel-plated siphon tops, internal straws, and red fill bands….details often lost over time.
These classic soda siphons embody the iconic British barware design that became a fixture of hotels, restaurants, pubs, clubs, and private cocktail bars throughout the twentieth century. The substantial clear-glass bottles are protected by beautifully woven metal mesh, originally intended as a safety feature for pressurized vessels while lending the unmistakable industrial elegance for which Sparklets is renowned.
The nickel-plated fittings display an attractive aged patina, while the woven mesh remains intact and presents beautifully. At an impressive 13.5 inches tall, these are substantial decorative objects with remarkable presence.
