The generously sized, shallow bowl is finished in a soft creamy white glaze, with a wonderfully textured interior featuring overlapping, feather-like impressions, a spiral at its center and a twisted rope border.

The applied ceramic flowers are especially lovely, with delicate trumpet-shaped blossoms surrounded by softly shaded green leaves and trailing vines that embellish the rim. Each flower and leaf is individually sculpted and hand-painted, giving the arrangement a wonderfully lifelike quality and adding beautiful dimension to the bowl.

The underside is equally interesting, with concentric raised coils radiating outward from the center, creating a sculptural spiral design. Hand-marked “Arte in Ceramica,” “Laveno” and “Made in Italy” on the underside.

A wonderfully charming example of Italian decorative ceramics, combining intricate botanical detailing with unusual texture and beautiful craftsmanship. Lovely displayed on a dining table, kitchen island or open shelving, where its sculptural flowers can be appreciated from every angle.
