This exceptional piece exemplifies the enduring elegance found within our curated collection of antique rugs. Dating to the height of the Art Deco era, this square rug showcases a sophisticated design sensibility typical of early 20th-century Chinese weaving.

The defining feature is the vibrant, saturated field color, a rich coral hue. This bold use of color provides a stunning contrast to the deep indigo and navy accents utilized in the primary border. Such striking palettes are highly sought after by designers and collectors alike, placing this square rug among our finest examples of coral color rugs.

The design employs a classical framework, featuring a spacious, unadorned central field encircled by a meticulously drawn vine border. Stylized peonies and trailing foliage create an organic, yet disciplined, frame. The overall composition is a superb example of floral rugs, where nature is rendered with graphic precision, perfectly complementing modern or traditional interiors.

Hand-knotted using high-quality wool, the pile retains a luxurious density, ensuring both durability and a soft underfoot feel. The substantial dimensions of this square rug make it an ideal choice for anchoring large sitting areas or dining spaces, classifying it as a premier room size rug suitable for grand settings.
