Design Plus Gallery presents the Regency Armchair from Maitland-Smith. This distinctive armchair draws inspiration from classical Regency design, combining a black lacquered wood frame with hand-applied gilt detailing throughout the structure. The open back is composed of a horizontal arrangement of interlocking circular motifs framed by slender rails and decorative turned elements. The gently curved arms extend into sculpted supports accented with gold-toned borders and detailing. The upholstered seat is covered in a neutral taupe velvet textile and outlined with individually applied brass-tone nailhead trim. Tapered front legs are embellished with gilt bands, while the rear legs curve outward to complement the profile of the frame. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. Made in Indonesia.
