Pair of antique English Jacobean style solid oak armchairs, c.1880
A good looking pair of chairs with heavily carved back paneling, also called wainscot construction. These feature geometric diamond patterns as well as rosettes and scrollwork, which is typical of the Jacobean style. The frame is very sturdy, from the sweeping arms to the turned legs and stretchers.
